One of my favourites too, mine are all clothed in new leaves , looking so attractive with the bright red new foilage and the white lily of the valley flowers;0)

I have something that looks like that in my garden. Don't know what it is, same type of leaves but no flowers yet, just buds.

It will be a nice surprise to see what it is Sarah,you will have to take a pic,when it flowers...

Mine doesnt look as good as that but I have to grow it in a pot. Think perhaps I must repot it this year

I used to have mine in a pot too,but when we moved here 8 years ago,I was able to put it in the garden,so think thats why it has done so well...

I just bough a tiny one of these! Still to fond a good stop for it in the garden!! Hope it looks as good as this!

You have been going back a bit Sparklysocks,I had forgotten about this pic..Thanks for taking a look.It may help you to know,they prefer a more shaded area,if you have one,as sometimes the sun can scorch the new growth in Spring,especially after frost.and they also prefer ericaceous compost,as do Camellia's,Rhododendrons,Azaleas and Heathers..Don't worry if you don't know what kind of soil you have,as although you can buy soil tester kits,I just bought a bag of this,dug a fair sized hole ,and put lots in and around when I planted it.I just top dress it,every spring.As you can see,its done ok..hope it does well for you,I love mine..
