Thank you for all your lovely comments.
Amy...that pruning was just what it needed to kick start flowering. We pruneback the wispy side shoots to a foot in August and then the same shoots again to about 4 inches in February. Hope this helps....

~ i bought two mini ones last year and haven't pruned and they don't seem to be growing~ both in pots~ too late to cut back?

Thanks San.....
Arlene....probably dont like being in pots ...any chance of you planting them out ? Then,if they put on new growth, prune at the end of summer to encourage buds.

~ just checked both my mini plants and they are both leafing and one has a small bud. I bought them last year and was told they can stay in pots as supposed to be very compact but will move them up into much larger pots~got some really big ones~ after flowering.
