This a mini-version of the others I have - but it's still a very pretty little plant.

I agree - I came across them a couple of years ago, and only had the one sort until Malvern, where I found two different ones. :-)))

It was....and today I found a baby one in the border, a seedling, AND it has a flower or two on it! So they 'do' seed around. :-)))))

I do hope you find some - I spotted a leaf from another one, as well, but not in flower.

Now Spritz, if I have any fault at all (Don't even go there!), it's my weakness for Clems, I'm blinded by love for them,so miss out on fabulous plants like these! Oh darnit!! lol.

I listed mine the other day, i have ..... 20 !
In a small garden that's not bad is it ;-)
(That doesn't include the tiny alpine versions !!!)

Hi Louise! :~)) 20 is a pretty good haul my friend for a small garden! I just love them, have you tried the Herbaceous ones too? I had one that had flower heads that looked and scented just like Hyacinths~amazing variety!

I had one of the herbaceous, bushy type a few years ago but lost it - i think i moved it late in summer and it didn't get its roots down before the winter came.
I like the sound of those of yours though .... i want some .... they sound gorgeous.

LOL Louise! I think it was the Clematis heracleifolia 'Wyevale'. It's more a shrub than a climber, and grows to 3/4ft. The scent is knock-out,and it has violet blue flowers similar to Hyacinth,in late summer. It's very hardy! :~))
