I have several clumps of these in a couple of borders, they're punctuation marks !
The white drops on the end of the leaves is insecticide - i have to control a severe caterpillar problem here and i'm following an experts advice and spraying them weekly .... it's working too
:-)))))))))

I did not realize you had to do them weekly, I just sprayed them twice and hoped for the best....!!

Dd, i've got such a severe caterpillar problem here that Vicky suggested spraying weekly .... i've noticed that if i have a lapse they're back quite quickly.
I think because i've let nature do its thing for the past 3.5 years the caterpillars have really got a grip here, so, i'm sorry to lose all the garden wildlife but - i'm going to keep up the weekly spraying otherwise the shrubs 'and' the perennials all get decimated :-/

it's a beautiful one, so bright. Glad you've found a way of keeping it looking nice. I've given up on being friendly to the slugs and snails too :)

This is a lovely one Louise, does it keep its colour? Just saw Raymondo (sounds like a gigolo) peeping, it is tiny isn't it, but so pretty. I did google it, but hate the new google page layout or whatever it's called, nowhere near as user friendly:-) Is there no insecticide that's ok for bees and ladybirds etc? Years ago I used to use roseclear which was ok with these, I think they changed the formula though and as I haven't used anything for years I don't know if it is still so benign:-)

Yes, it does keep its colour - that's the draw with these, isn't it ? :-))

some change their colour as the season advances, but if this stays the same as on here...it's on my wish list:-)
