It grows like billyo - I'm forever hacking it back, good job I don't mind losing the flowers.

There's a picture of it 2nd row, page 9 of my pics, Louise. It's about 6ft tall there - I pruned it as hard as a buddlia.

My two in the island bed only went in last June, so I didn't prune them. I think i'll have to next year though.

They're goers, aren't they, Spritz? If you want flowers next year prune it this year after flowering. I'm not fussed about the flowers and think it's far better spring pruned, the leaves seem bigger and better.

I love this and I want it to grow as fast as possible......
