This is 'London Pride' - I have it in dry shade, and it seems all right - but not thriving.

I know, Pip - it needs a move, but I was having trouble finding anything that would grow under the pergola in a narrow border - so in went this and afterwards, two Epimediums. It will just have to stay there now. :-((

My Mum has this growing right up to the lawn edge, a pain for me to edge the lawn though !

OH moans at me, as I have all sorts over-hanging the lawn, Shirley! LOL.
He cuts it - I do the edging...

The edging is the worst job! London pride was everywhere when I was a child in the sixties! Consequently I don't grow it....but what a lovely flower!

I agree - he has a sit-on mower as well as a petrol one..I do all the edges with shears and arm-power.
I also remember London Pride being grown everywhere and it always looked dusty!

Yes, agreed! :)

No, no dust on this one!

That's due to my duster and polish can - I dust it every morning. LOL.

Love London's Pride. It's a touch of nostalgia. My mum used to grow it along the front path where it did really well but it was an open area with no shade. If that helps
