Heralding the coming of our winter perhaps! Not sure why we've been having these great sunrises ... but I'm even getting up earlier just in case I miss one!!!

29 May, 2010

Thanks all ... it's been rather lovely getting up earlier now that the morning's are so crisp as we approach our winter.

30 May, 2010

what a contrast to the other picture of the sky that looks on fire, this one is more of a cool colour but just as stunning :)

These sunrise photos were taken less than two weeks apart, Duddyboy ... the morning skies have just been breathtaking lately!

Bernieh:

Beautiful sunrise photos!

I can't imagine your mornings being crisp in a tropical climate. lol! : > )

30 May, 2010

Hi Andy ... it's been lovely over here. Mornings are now down around 19 deg C and midday it's only getting up around 28 to 29 deg C. Winter is coming!!!!

30 May, 2010

Bernieh:

It sounds very comfortable! Has the rain finally stopped?

30 May, 2010

Yes ... it has! It's blue skies and sunshine once more ... and you can literally hear the garden singing of joy!

30 May, 2010

Bernieh:

Glad to hear it! Now you can enjoy the sunshine and garden.

We're having a cooler than normal spring...however, no rain in more than a month. Northern CA has been still having very rare rainy weather and snow in the Sierra Mountain range. I don't remember when this has ever happened...but CA needs all the rain and snow we can get to relieve our drought.

30 May, 2010

Snow on the Sierra Mountain range ... wow! That does sound like a cooler than normal Spring. Well over here this morning, it's decidedly crisp ... 13 deg C when I got up this morning!!! Winter's here.

30 May, 2010

Wow! 13C is pretty cool for the tropics. It must feel refreshing after all the hot and humid weather though.

The snow in the Sierra is falling above 8,000 feet/ 2440 meters elevation. This weekend is our 3 day Memorial Day Holiday...the unofficial start to summer in the U.S. The ski resorts are still open in the very high elevations of the Sierra...this is great news for our economy...as we need as much help as possible during our "Great Recession".

31 May, 2010

Hi Andy ... yes the 13 deg only lasted until around 8.30 am, then it quickly climbed to 19! Of course, by midday it was 25 ... these are not uncommon temps for us during our Winter. We just don't get them every single day.

So strange to think that as your Summer begins, there's still ski resorts open! But as you say, good for the economy!

fantastic, we dont have sunrises like that in Northern Ireland, it rains all the time ha ha ( joke, well most of the time )

Hi Bernieh:)
beatifull sunrise... the Nature itself is very talented painter, lol.
Thank you for visiting me, sorry for not replying - in a week time I will finish my course (last assignments) - so I will try to visit more often.
well - I didn't see any esky there, lol, but they had some sort of container to keep bottles of champaign... I bet they were aleady empty, and just for a display really...lol,
They deserved an award - I really liked the design... very simple, very contemporary - few ideas I could use when I'll start doing my own desings:) I will post some more photos - but probably after the 7th of June.

Thanks for your comment Okasia ... I was rather expecting the Aussies would have some sort of alcoholic beverage as part of the display! Champagne, no less ... well I suppose it was in keeping with the rather upmarket design.

Sounds like you're working hard as the end of your studies approaches ... best of luck with those assignments!
