If Jodi is a cat or dog then try stroking one then immediately the other so you are putting their scent on each other, then gradually introduce them. When we got another kitten our old cat hated it at first then they gradually got used to each other. You're bound to get a reaction at first.

Totally agree Linda, it's very important to get their scent on each other.
Spend a long time going from one to another, stroking first one and then the other, the more scent you can transfer to each the better, do it daily too not just every now and again.

The other thing is to make sure that the feed bowls are opposite sides and not together so each animal has their own space. Hope this helps.

Their own bed too, for when they want 'their own space'.

Thanks Lindak and Louise.....I didnt know about transferring the scent...I will do that.....The kitten has been with us for a week now and i only let them see each other through the glass door...Jodi (our old cross-breed dog)...seems quite happy...she wags her tail when she sees the kitten....The kitten, on the other hand becomes very frightened hisses and runs away.....so i'll keep doing the scent thing....thanks for all the advice...:>)
