Taken 2 weeks ago, starting to fill out.Shared between 3 houses.Mine starts at the Salix,up to the Alder ,which had to be pruned hard this year,as got too tall and wide, casting too much shade from the plants.

Good, like a mini community garden! great!

It is good,Karen. We all moved here 8years ago,and mucked in together. It had been"landscaped",and I use that description loosely,as it was the same monotonous boring shrubs....soon changed that, after we dug all the Builders rubble from underneath the thinly disguised top soil!!! and gave a lot of the bushes away to anyone that wanted them Lol...

That's lovely Sandra, isn't it good to know you all look after this area ? Who climbs the wall to prune the climbers ? lol !

This is looking lovely, helps bonding with neighbours sharing a border!

Yes, bloomer, we could do with some of that spirit on this estate on the 'common bits'!

thanks Shirley, its usually me,trying to stretch..cheaper than going to the gym..or trying to make the stepstool firm in the soil.!!!. There is a Crown green bowling club behind the wall,so when someone is peering over,I might ask them to do a bit of snipping, while they wait for their turn.Lol.Think it may be hard hat and crampons before long:o)))
Carole..I think a.similar photo is on my first blog, but from a different angle as seem to remember us chatting about the Salix we both had.It has changed slightly,as I keep moving things..as you do .Lol.It is nice sharing the border, but the other 2 have had to have someone to look after theirs now,as too hard for them.I did toy with the idea of me doing it,but decided it would be a bit too much to commit to,as I still have the back and front garden...and didn't want to make a promise,I couldn't keep..
Karen...that would be nice.Sometimes it just takes one to suggest an idea...but on the other hand, some couldn't care less.....

What a great idea, my daughter has all these awful shrubs outside her house and it would be lovely if she and her neighbours did the same thing. You`ve all done a great job there. :o)

thanks,Sandra, maybe one of them may suggest it ? if they all get on together, its a lovely social way to share plants and enthusiasm..:o)

That border is looking really good, and what a lovely idea "border share" is :-o))

Thanks,Louise,we have all swopped things with each other, via cuttings and splitting things, which helped it to fill up a bit quicker,so it looks more established now....I'm still moving and splitting plants...its an obsession, for which I hope there is no cure Lol.

You've all done a grand job there Bloomer - I'm well impressed. What a lovely view to look out on. I've got a similar situation from my kitchen sink, which is a project I am tackling at the moment (maybe a future blog). Keep up the good work. :-)

Thanks,Muddy,it is filling out nicely at the moment,so think I might have got it as I want it..finally...but you never can tell...a little bit of tweaking here and there maybe:o)

Aaah I see, I saw your other pic first and I must say it looked a strange wall to have round your garden lol, I thought you must have some very determined burglars as it seemed you had a very high brick wall and then railings on top. I must go for a lie down:-)

That made me smile,Bornagain,Lol.I think it protects the Bowlers from me,to be honest..Woudn't want to them to miss the "jack" by shouting "rubbish shot ":o))).Wouldn't that be just so tempting?..and then running indoors.:o))))
Yes,you go and have a lie down,my dear, its getting late,almost,10am..say's me still in my night attire, not showered yet, washing machine stopped, and awaiting being hung out..and i have to go into town...Oh,dear no time for me to go back to bed.!!! Must go and make an effort..byeeee.

Tut, tut, such decadence Bloomer and there was me thinking you'd be out working in the garden by 8am !!! :-))
23 Jun, 2010
I could have been,Muddy....and have been known to deadhead, even earlier Lol.
23 Jun, 2010
Lol Bloomer, they'd probably bombard you with bowls. Now, I'm always open to new ideas...I've obviously missed some government?? advice or something....but why do you hang your washing machine out?:-)
24 Jun, 2010
Oh,touche,Ba,Lol. ! that made me laugh, but don't you hang your washing machine out ?? It must smell very foisty and damp!!! I don't know, people just aren't houseproud any more HaHa...I'm in room 40 ,by the way >>>>>>
