Cornus Controversa Variegata

Cornus Controversa Variegata (Cornus Controversa Variegata)

The wedding cake tree....I fell in love with these at Chelsea. Hilliers always take a few in big pots. The Hilliers stand is always my favourite in the pavilion.

Thank you everyone. The garden is really coming along this year and some things are beginning to mature. A few of the roses are now well-established and all the trees are growing well.....i think I can relax a bit now! :))

On my wish list too, was wondering where I could put one but a couple of shrubs died overwinter so have a couple of gaps :-)

Yes, little metal t-light lanterns Lin. Thank you, it is peaceful and it's lovely to see this photo again. I'm pining for the spring!

Yes....Arn't we all Karen, it can't come quick enough. We had a lovely few hours of sunshine yesterday and was able to spend time in the garden doing a bit of deadheading and tidying up, but today its very dull and dreary......Never 2 days alike is there?

Well, we had 2 hours of very watery sun yesterday and then freezing cold and then today it's been wet and miserable all day except for a five second sighting of the sun around 3pm! However, I went outside and tidied up another big border, so at least I did achieve something in the garden. Had to remove a lovely big variegated sage as it was dead...:((

What a shame Karen. Is all I've found up till now is cyclamen that have rotted, but I've yet to have a good look in the front garden. Hope we dont find too much that hasn't survived the winter. Quite a few members are saying they have lost their bottle brush so I must check mine. Hope you haven't lost too much either Karen.

Thanks lin. I have lost some things I think, but as most things are only small and young, it's not surprising. I don't have much that isn't fully hardy so I don't think it will be too bad. I suppose we will just have to wait and see. I have a cornus that doesn't look too alive, but again, time will tell.
