lovely barbara, mine had one flower this year, not sure what happened but buds just didnt grow properly and dried up except one which was beautifull ;o)

Sandra, that happened to a couple of buds on my poppies - I think they got really soaked in rain, and just rotted inside the 'casing'. They looked as though they'd dried up, but hadn't really. :-(( I just cut the stems back as if they 'had' flowered.
