Now this brings back memories of visiting family in Thetford, nr. Diss when I was a child. So pleased I saw this Amy. : o ) )

So the ground is damp Amy, must be for them to thrive, were there any other plants enjoying the conditions?
Amazing Shirley, arent they.

Thanks Dawn it is a wonderful sight , in fact they are just going past their best ...I'm pleased it brought back memories for you Shirley we are not so far from Thetford .....
No Dawn it's almost entirely flag Iris's some buttercups , there's not room for anything else they are so crowded together , this whole section runs beside a small river and yes the ground is very wet ..
It's a lovely sight Carole , I hadn't seen so many in one place before ......

Yes...that's so true...these places get lost so easily then forgotten.......the wild-life must love it here..........

We had an area were we could walk when we first moved here that went through the strawberry fields past the windmill and a rough field full of Bee Orchids , they have concreted over them to use the land for a lorry business , hundreds of houses are built on the strawberry fields , it's changed so much , I tried to get something done about the Bee Orchids but it didn't come to anything , it's sad , once it's gone it's gone forever .......
