Our old dog use to catch them in the garden and then froth from the mouth ..he always dropped them I think he thought it was a game to catch them he didn't harm them ...

Actually, she watches spiders with great intent but doesn't pick them up...just watches them...useless hound!! ;) I'm hoping she'll be the same with froggies!

lol amy, must taste awfull to, casper splutters when he gets the taste on his tongue lol, i dont give him chance to hurt one, not really sure what he would do with one if i werent there ;o(

karen its better than harming life dont you think, my friends dog use to stomp on spiders if she told him to get it lol

I wonder if the froth is the frogs protection it stops anything trying to eat it because it tastes nasty .........

maybe amy and also they go stiff , like stone, i rescued one from casper and thought it was dead but wasnt, checked it over then popped it back in pond, it swam and seems ok

I think I've heard of the froth thing before, I think Amy might have hit the nail on the head!...Yeuch, can you imagine having a live (or dead!!) frog in your mouth!! :SS

makes sence karen, i get this if im really stressed over something which is out of my controll, normally my eldest son in the past, thankfully things getting better that way, so yes i would agree with that,

yes seems like it karen, i always sit and talk and explain but its like i cant expalin enough to make it change things even though my son agrees, it frustrates me i cant make things good, when they are young children we can control what goes on in their lives and stop the bad things, but now its heart breaking at times to feel so helpless karen, but hope that if we stick at it, things will eventually sink in and improve,

Hmm....not sure San. I'll let you know in about 5 years or so! My two are still pretty much dependent on me for advice and input! My daughter Rachel is less so now as she is moving more toward her boyfriend....I say to them....."I will always be your Mum but I can't always be 'Mummy'".....they have to grow up and we have to untie the apron... like the mother Eagle that pushes her young out of the nest, otherwise they would never learn to fly...can you imagine? eeek!! :)) oh no, another nightmare for us!! :))) lol!!

its very hard karen but gradually im learning to let go, but still have to be there for eldest, he`s going through bad things but coming out the other side hopefully, but its taken a few years, i wont give up and he knows that, we are getting there and i know he appreciates all ive done to help him, so whatever you may go through karen make sure you never give up hope with your kids, i never give up, luckerly joe is so different and will succeeed, and im very proud of him, other son is hard work but i know he will get there in the end ;o))

sorry about your fish......but how lovely to have frogs... i havnt seen mine this year.....

thanx holly, maybe you just been missing them, mine seem to hide under the edging rocks when its hot then come up at evening

i keep on looking.... wonder if they died in the cold winter we had...

maybe, i dont really know where they go in winter holly, but would have thought they would be ok or at least one of them, you may get new ones, hope you get them back ;o)
