lol linda, im very pleased with the pond area, its going to look very bare in winter though, will get some bulbed planted in autumn ;o)

thanx denise, he has a new collar its the 3rd one denise, he takes them off, so hoping it stays this time, i want him to wear one because of the birds,its a nice soft one this time so fingers crossed.

yes it has a bell richard, thats why i want him to wear one, he is chipped so even without collar can be traced to our address, glad you like the pond area to ;o))

San...I'll just comment on this photo (there are so many beauties here!!) and say what a wonderful display you have...and what an eye for "getting it right."

I'm getting really impatient as we're still waiting for word from the gardeners who are supposed to be putting the turf down. I want to start "developing" the borders but need the turf down first...and then I think you have to leave it for some weeks before walking on it too much. :(

I won't be able to have a pond but maybe a small solar water feature (no electrics) but I do like your designs so much....I'm sure I will refer back to your photos many times for inspiration and dreaming! lol

hi jacquie, thanx for looking at this pic and glad you like it, it was the best thing i did making the pond area, love it, to be honest i dont plan much, i just buy what i like with plants and put them where i feel like lol, on occasion i do move some if taller and need to go back a bit, i just love colour and doesnt matter what colours go with what, i honestly dont think it matters when it comes to flowers, i think it was geoff hamilton who also said that, i loved watching him.
anyway your right you wont be able to tread your new grass right away till roots settle, not sure if there is a way round it, maybe placing a board on top where you are working, this keeps it flat and doesnt sink or get damaged.
i waiting 4 years to start my garden as we concentrated on doing the house first, but well worth the wait as it will be for you :o))
