Pritchardia schattaueri - Loulou Palm

This is the largest of the Pritchardia species which is native to the southwestern part of island of Hawaiʻi, near Kona. It can grow to be 130 feet/ 40 meters tall in time. Photo taken at Quail Botanical Gardens, Encinitas, CA. on July 6, 2010.
