LOL....I'll be digging up a.p.gs as soon as I find replacements - or the 'Sirak' plants come from Wisley! I am really fed up with them...and they're soooooo hard to dig out!.

I agree about the Hosta blooms too - I think that they're often overlooked as people get fixated on the value of the foliage in a planting scheme.

True - and some go as far as cutting them off! Such a shame when they're beautiful.

Thanks - go and look closely if you've got any hostas - the flowers are all different!

Oooh - I'll have to have a sniff! :-)

my neice has a older variety with solid green leaves that produce white blossom in late July/ early August...they are very fragrant. I find that the fancier the leaf the plainer the flower... Now why on earth would anyone cut off the flowers? purists!!

They think that Hostas are foliage plants....and that's the reason they grow them! I still haven't managed to sniff mine yet - I will, though!

just read Bonkers confession! this has not been my day...confusion has reigned supreme and I top it off by sounding judgemental. The flowers really don't last that long...just enjoy them for their few days, Bb...and then cut them down. lol...

Don't worry - They won't have taken it personally.....lol. Poor you - I hope today's a better day for you.

I plan to stay away from making any declarations. I think it's the humidity...lol...that's my story and I'm sticking to it!!
