I bet you enjoyed your break in the Lakes, Carole, such a lovely part of the country. We spent many walking holidays there - fantastic area.

Thanks all! We stayed just outside Ambleside near to Rydal Water wonderful cottage tucked away in beautiful countryside, outside the garden gate was a lane alongside the river where this old Bridge crossed! the weather was heavy showers and sunny spells , but who cares surrounded by such fantastic scenery, Just wished we had been able to stay longer, definately somewhere we will go back to ;0)

Beautiful. We're going down to Pembroke to a place called Amroth, if I've spelt it right, and we've got a cottage. I can't wait, weather won't worry us, just the fact we're having a break. Year before last, we went to North Wales to Llangollen on a long boat on the canals. Fantastic. So peaceful and relaxing, and the wild life was brilliant. Saw my first kingfisher. I called Hubby to have a look, as I thought I was seeing things, as it flitted back and forth feeding, and I'd never seen such big Dragonflies. Even the Ducks with their families just swam by, without a care, that we were sat there watching them. Absolutely brilliant. :o))
