Wow....such a lot of great comments...thanks everyone!! I spotted this little monkey when watering the garden....there was a tiny moth fluttering around and he came to hide in wait.....I even sprayed him with the hose....but I think he enjoyed it!...Lol. I thought the back part of him was amazing where the wings join and such beautiful colouring...really trendy, duck-egg blue and stone...ha..ha!

This is actually a Migrant Hawker - quite an unusual species in many parts of the country.

It would get my vote in a competition Janey, it's stunning!

Really Ilex.....that's wonderful that she visits our garden...:o) Last year there was a cream and brown type...I wasn't sure whether those were iit's emergent colours
before the adult colours kicked in......

Would it really Bellflower....so many smashing comments...I may give it a try and see what happens....:o)))
