Mosaic and dog!

I cannot believe that! That is THE most amazing bit of creative and recycling genius i've ever seen! Absolutely stunning!! Are you going to to a blog to tell me how to do this Lulu? I think I will have to have a go at this.....it's fantastic!!

Thanks Karen. Next time I work on a piece I will photograph the process and write a blog. I have noticed that when I take friends into my wee workshop and especially children they just love to make mosaics and kids make such simple lovely ones. But boy are the cd's bright when they catch the sun, really burns the eyes. That's why I thought of heron scarer! Hope they don't blind the odd micro lighter who flys by occasionally!

lol!! that would kinda spoil your garden Lulu...a microlight! Mind you, you could probably make something of the wreckage!! I absolutely love anything made of mosaic and i have never made one. I'm a creative person, so I'm sure I could make a go of it, but I just don't know how to get started. I suppose there must be books, or even online articles on this craft.....mmmm.....putting in on my 'things to do for me' list!! I also love anything 'sparkly' and shiny...you know...diamonds and stuff!! lol.....so your creation is just ticking all my boxes, and what a way to scare the pigeons off my brassicas and the blackbirds off my strawbs!!

Surface ie wood (not good for outside) slate, marble etc. Glue, shiney sparkley things or stained glass, mirror, shells etc etc. Stick em on, wait for glue to dry and then grout between the gaps. wait for it to dry and then polish up.

And you never know what it's going to look like till the final grout!!

Couldn't manage that Lulu..but you'll get it sorted in time! All the mosaics are great btw and I love the marmite jars idea!
