It adds to the barrel, is that an Acer? It looks lovely as the centre piece.

thanx Tog and yes its an acer(orange dream) it got a bit wind burnt last month but seems to have recovered, i dont have a sheltered spot in my garden so hope its ok next spring when new buds form, will see ;o))

thanx everyone, im glad i got it out of the shed now amy, i like it here but will try it on pond and see which i prefere,
it was the first day without rain GT and today is lovely to so iv been out cutting some leaves of my hollyhocks as it got so many i wont be able to see the flowers when they open, and a bit of rust starting so off they come lol ;o))

The pump looks as if it was made for the barrel; it's lovely.

I would leave it in there myself San as it looks brilliant. A little bit different but the planting really adds to the whole look of it all...
