Tansy is a herb Camilla , it is poisonous if taken in large doses , it use to be given for digestive disorders also intestinal worms but getting the right dose was a hit and miss method , I believe it's also used in bunches to keep flies out of the kitchen .. I'm not at all sure if it works .... :o)

Yep....that's it Amy....a very old medicinal plant, bit of a thug in the garden....I like the scent of the ferny vivid green leaves though, and the little button flowers seem to go on for ages....:o)

I think they would survive alright don't you Janey , I have seen them growing in hot dry places , they like a loamy soil rich in nitrogen ... if that's any help !

Are these the ones with rough prickly leaves?

11 Aug, 2010

Yes I would think so Amy.......I think they would try there best to adapt...:o)
They have rough fern-like leaves Carole....quite a sturdy plant but dies down in the winter, which is a shame as the leaves would look great then.........
