Me too Sandra its a lovely combination, I have a dwarf Echinops but it isnt moving very much!

I haven't seen a dwarf Echinops,Carole,but this was a couple of years before it really got going this year.Maybe your's will be the same....

Brilliant,the pink Cosmos look great with it. I was eyeing Echinop in th GC today but really don't have the right place for it.

Thank you Ladies...The Cosmos is now like a triffid,but still looks good,as does the Echinops...and the good news is that the Echnops self seeded this year,but only found it 2 weeks ago,lurking behind another plant...and its about 2 metres away from the original,so hadn't expected to see it there....Great,now I have two.:o)))

thank you Sticki..I only just pulled the Cosmos up,at the weekend...they are good value aren't they? Echinops was cut down a couple of weeks ago,but amazed that there is new growth at the bottom ! Can't see it surviving though..

yes i love cosmos but i think they need more sun than i get. sorry ~ which is the echinops ~ is it the blue thistle type? i love those too

Cosmos do like the sun Sticki,and yes,it is the blue thistle type...it has self seeded too,which is nice..

does that like sun too?

I'm not really sure,but would imagine so..They are both in a sunny position,but I suppose as long as they get some sunshine,and a light position,I think they would be ok.

too tempting not to try! cosmos didnt do so well last year but i could try again and the echinops too!

I must admit,some of my cosmos didn't do as well as usual,so maybe there was too much rain...I will still do some more though,...go for it again Sticki..:o)

Thank you Paul,they do ,don't they? It is about 3 years old now,and the blue is the best its been so far...I don't know if it gets better with age,or the weather conditions this year..I'm sure someone will know..
