Floralhead
The small one on the mount is full size, the painting is course a lot smaller when coppied on GOU. The medium is Acrylic.the painting is 16''x12'' The mount increases it to 20''x16''

its beautiful...what I meant was a smaller butterfly than the one in the picture. It looks as if it's trying to get into your painting.

Beautiful......I bought Acrylics and did some paintings over the winter - I wish I could produce something as good as this -but it's a lovely pastime anyway and I enjoy it

Looks really nice Brian. You would think with my training I would be constantly painting my garden. I like to think of the garden as an escape from the studio. It would be a busman's holiday otherwise. lol

Thank you Linda. praise indeed from a Professional.People have asked me many times why I don't sell my plants, its the same thing, If I sold them it becomes work and the pleasure would go out of it.I spent nearly fifty years manufacturing and selling engineering products That was enough for me.

I set out a series of plant still lives in my garden. Small areas of colour combinations or leaf shapes that I like. It seems creative enough working with plants. It is like soft sculpture or painting with a live medium. I can't help seeing the world as a wonderful large painting.
Keep up the good work Brian. It is great to be able to replace the garden with painting in the Winter.
PS I like the butterfly on the mount too!!!

It's lovely, so you don't sell them, in that case give it to me LOL, Only Joking, bet you have the ones you like all in pride of place, it's like us, we like Photography and have taken many photo's and have mounted them as we showed them at the Camera Club on competition weeks that we once belonged to and often freinds say why don't we put then on our walls, only thing is frames are expensive, so they stay in our folders. LOL
