Is this a little owl.....we saw a tawny the other night perched on a television arial then it flew straight towards us and through the gap between us and next doors bungalow. We were in our conservatory and saw it fly past down the side of our conservatory through the glass windows. It had a large wingspan.

Maybe this is the little owl that hoots all night, as we heard in Corfu when we were there.

I think maybe the owl we heard in Corfu all those years ago was a Scops owl. One single little hoot repeated over & aver again!
It kept us awake the first night we were there because we didn't know what it was, but we soon got used to it & found it quite endearing!

certainly was an owl. there are many here in my place.
there is a hedgehog in my garden too.

wonderful, we used to have them in a nest under our shed, I was very surprised at the noises they made!!
We haven't had any around here for years now, such a shame, they were useful for eating the slugs too!

Im seeing lots of them around last years.bad for the rats.
