This is beautiful. Brings back childhood memories. My Grampa used to grow Dahlias and my Nanna always had a vase of them on the table. If she needed a bit of fern for them, she used to cut the green off the carrots. My Grampa used to go mad, saying, 'now Nanna's cut the leaves off the carrots, I can't see where they're Bl--dy growing to'. Lol.:o))

Very pretty colours, I lost all my tubers except for one last winter but it has come up at last. I planted some seeds this year and theyve come through beautifully, not sure what I do with them next though...

You might find that they have made small tubers over the summer. ..Make a note of the ones you like best and lift them once the frosts have killed the folliage. Dry them thoroughly and store in frost free conditions, in slightly damp compost to keep the tubers plump . You can set the tubers in slightly warm conditions in early spring to sprout for cuttings....or replant the tubers at the end of May/early June to grow for next year. Bear in mind that the quality of blooms you get from cuttings will be better than from the tuber.....Good Luck. :-))))
