They usually take from seed really easy, as birds seem to deliver it into gardens.

Beautiful, Dawn. The little plants you sent me are doing well but I am keeping them in pots until next spring. I daren't risk the tortoises trampling them and Millie has clumsy feet too :)

Hi Gee, I'm so pleased your little plants are doing well and that the tortoises are happy.
Kathy: Yes, like Treesandthings say, seed down so easily, never collected seed but find the little plants seeded by themselves around the garden. Yes, the stems are hollow and no, I've not seen the gold one. I'm surprised you've not had self sets, they must like my clay.

No haven't had any self seed, strange as I have clay soil too :-(
I'll take a picture of the gold one sometime this weekend.

I love it Dawn but we have so many growing around us that I am constantly pulling them up like weeds , the birds obviously love eating the seeds then dropping them in our garden ............

Same here Amy. I sent Gee a few baby plants that I found. I wonder sometimes how they get going in heavy clay, but they do.
Dotty: Isnt your's doing well then or is it a young one.

It's lovely Dawnsaunt. We were fortunate enough to have one appear in our garden - delivered by bird I'd guess.

Lucky you Claire, the blackbirds love the berries and I think they are the ones that distribute the seeds. :-)
