Thanks Yorkshire , Dawn it's a bird bath about 4ft tall knocked down from £85 to £25 in a sale it's so heavy and weighs a ton probably why nobody else had bought it they couldn't carry it home .......

Wow Amy what a wonderful bargain, I met a friend today who had been to a garden centre here and got a black granit table, was well over £100, she paid £10, we are going there in the morning, apparently they are closing down, they have been named best garden centre for years, sold out and A,,,,, bought it, ruined it which is so sad,

Golly that was a bargain Yorkshire , I would get down there early if I were you , let us know if you get any bargains , I love it if I get a bargain it makes my day ..LOL...

Amy, being nosey now. What's the plants growing up the tree - is this one of your clematis?

I was in the right place at the right time Dawn lucky for me , yes it is a Clematis ' Lincoln star ' it's actually reached the top of that tree this year ...

Thank you Carole and Michaella i'm pleased you like it , we couldn't decide what to do to hide the tree stump and wanted to get on with it , I think it's worked quite well .. :o)

I love this, not just for what it covers, but its a great focal point yet leads you to the rest..this is definitely one for my favourites!

Thanks for the compliment Amy but the biggest thing Im most expert at is knowing Im not! However, Im not frightened of sticking my toe in the water, after all if you learn something by making a mistake you gain something!

Thanks Linda , it worked out alright after all ...... it's amazing how quickly the grass has grown Gee it's covered all the bare earth that was under the tree , the rain has helped with that ... the bird bath was a real bargain i'm so pleased with it ... :o)

It is deep San plus the water soon became murky and it was too heavy to lift it off to change it often ..
