thanks for that Idea, went and bought a pot for my son in law yesterday also, £28, paid £12, its a lovely pot, ordered him a white Peonie for Christmas as he collects them, keeps saying the next one he buys has to be white. we beat him to it,

Yorkshire....you sure are good at sourcing the bargain pots! It will be a treat to see how you pot up your own pot. I can imagine your son-in-law will be pleased with his pot and peonie when he receives his Christmas gift too.

5 Oct, 2010

WHat a lovely idea for a Christmas present. I did go into the Oxfam shop today and bought some Christmas cards to put by.

Lol Whiston, I do like a bargain, I thought about putting a magnolia in my big pot but will give it some thought, I went to the craft shop yesterday Lindak to buy stuff as I make all my own cards, picked up some lovely things, although I always buy charity cards for neighbours, from the life boats.

5 Oct, 2010

A wonderful gardener and a card maker too, Yorkshire....is there no end to your talents? Suitably impressed I am! :)

I have a best friend who makes wonderful cards (with beautiful verses too)...a gift for creativity for sure.

5 Oct, 2010

Thanks Whiston, I am adventerous I must say, and my daughter takes after me which is great,I will start this week making Christmas cards as I do that many, very relaxing,my husband is good also, he will punch coloured flowers out for me if I need them for certain cards,

I got my head under the parapet here..bought my cards in Jan sales..she says blushing with embarrassment..

Have you decided what to put in that lovely pot yet Yorkshire? Did you manage to get two of them?

5 Oct, 2010

thanks Jackie, no Tet got son in law a pot, again to big for the boot so had to put the top down on the car and put it on back seat, couldn't do that with the one we bought and the neighbour who collected it for us went on holiday, still thinking of a magnolia but watch this space, no telling with me, as for christmas cards, you did the right thing buying them in Jan, well done,
