Only this year, I should call it the nasturtium and cosmo lumps......lol. Once the lilies finished it all began to sprawl. I do still love the deep greens and the flowers popping out. I found a self seeded biden down in one, that was unexpected! Bidens!? :-)

Thank you. I usually have a bit more plan to the planting so it keeps its shape. But I'm enjoying it a bit wild. :-)

:-) Thank you. Still lots of color. After years of failed nasturtiums, I'm glad to get a good year at least.

Looks great! Everything loves the long days of summer...must be starting to get short days now, aye? I always found September to be the hardest month when I lived up north. Everything was finally established and growing just in time for winter to return...but this looks lovely! You really do have a green thumb!

Thank you Lori. You saw it exactly. This pic is the long days of early September, the first frost will pass about week after this. We are already well into snow and ice, though we melt a little at midday on somedays still. Working at the nursery I was heartless this year, and just shore everything down once they looked a little ragged. It was a quick clean up. I started forcing blooming and it makes an enormous difference in the amount of blooming season you can achieve in the cold climates.

We have started to get one or two frosts and next week is supposed to be getting colder. Full moon last night, soon be firework night then Christmas will be upon us. Must start thinking about baking the cake! Keep warm Greenthumb........

Thank you Lindak. I can't believe there have been frosts for you already! Just seems early, but I agree the holidays are much closer than I am admitting to myself. :-) You stay warm too. :-)

Great corner there, GT! Why do you call it "Compass Garden"?
We had a frost here last Thursday morning. Killed off all my Pinto beans down on the plot! :-(( Didn't harm anything else, even the greenbeans are still alive. My Cosmos & Annual Chrysanthemums have been "scorched" but not killed.

Thank you. I started looking for a pic of the compass and just wrote a blog, so that should be easier to look at it. Its too overgrown here to really get.
Sorry to hear about your frosts. Always sad to see things closing up for the colder season.
