Well worth waiting for, too, Spritz. :-))

Thanks. This was found at Malvern last autumn, and it's great to have in flower at this time of year, like the other two white ones.

Haha, Sbg - I wonder who has the longest 'wish list'??? lol.

That's very pretty. I have one a paler colour.

Oh no, Hywel - not another one to add to the list! Do you know its name, please?

I've got the label somewhere Barbara. I'll try to find it. It's in a box in my shed, somewhere lol - and there's another box upstairs with lots of labells in, it may be there. I'll let you know.

It's a funny thing, most things in my rich topsoil have grown about 3 or 4 times bigger than they should, but this Saxifrage hasn't. Maybe it didn't get a chance with the other plants around it.

Thanks, Hywel. Well - they are small plants naturally, aren't they, while such things as your asters can grow really big if they're happy. You made a lot of plants VERY happy with that delivery, didn't you! LOL.

Ooh....gorgeous..

Thanks, Motinot. These autumn flowering plants are so welcome. :-)))

I know they don't grow tall, but I thought it would have grown into a bigger clump lol

I'll let you know if I find the labell. I've had it many years so maybe the labell has got lost. I'll have a good look though :o)

Don't worry about it too much, Hywel. I don't want to put you to any trouble. :-((

21 Oct, 2010

It's no trouble at all :o)

Thanks. :-))

I'm definitely going to get some Saxifrages. I never knew they had such beautiful flowers....wonderful. btw. B, I have two flowers on my autumn crocuses today! I will take a pic tomorrow....

That's good - I 'had' about 6 mauve ones up, but the wind was so strong that the poor things bent double, and some of them broke off. That was a bad mistake - I'll stick to the more sturdy Colchicums in future.

Saxifrages that flower in autumn are a real joy - in the shade. Little gems! :-)))

I do like this one! I can picture a couple of these against my silver birch logs in my borders. A great colour for the time of year as well.

It is, and I have them in shade near the gate that goes into the main part of the garden, so I can see them frequently. :-))
