Autumn Virginia Creeper

Autumn Virginia Creeper

Six vines are growing at the nursery and overwintering. Not at all invasive here, it only adds a few feet of vine a year and may be susceptible to moose feeding, but it lives! Another vine possibility for the lower fence or something, I must have one.....lol

Thank you Pp. This plant always has great color. The morning light was perfect for them. I've got some later shots in the deep deep scarlet I will post. :-)

The virginia creeper has almost covered three sides of this house...I'll be taking rooted offshoots for my next garden. The autumn colour of this is just fantastic. Did you get any berries yet? they are just toooo cool. red stems and blue purple berries! Shazzam!

I didn't see any berries at all on these. These are potted and very small so far. Nothing like the one you have covering the house it sounds. :-) They are beautiful things.

It may take a few seasons for them to start with berries..just wait..you will love them and so will any little birds. The sparrows like them.

Ah, that will be great! Give the sparrows something more as a draw than just checking out my rafters for nesting once a year......lol
