Frosty here too but not such a hard one as you've had. Hope that little frog is OK, they do 'shut down' in winter, sometimes at the bottom of ponds in the mud or under stones, etc.

It seems frosty mornings are going to be a regular occurrence now...we had quite a lot of frost on the rooftops this morning but I didn't notice any on my pots (they're in a sheltered spot too).
Glad the frog has recovered enough to take shelter...hope you find he stays ok...he'll likely be looking for somewhere to hide away in the cold.

thanx carol im going to keep it going a bit longer, with having fish and its not very deep im frightened it may freeze my fish, carol (clarice) says it will be ok as its the same depth as hers ;o)
holly i checked again before dark and the frog had gone again so thats a good sign he is ok ;o)
your right Wlass the frost and cold are here now which i dont mind if the sun is here to, better than rain and cloud, im going to try and make a froggy house at some point in the next few days and hope he goes in there at night ;o)

Acer looks smashing Sandra. Regarding your pump, well we take ours out anytime now, clean the pump and filter then store away until spring. Dont think it matters either way..

Lovely acer Sandra, the frost is really biting now. Poor froggy, I don`t know what happens to them in the cold weather, we don`t have a pond but quite a few frogs but haven`t seen them since before the holiday.
