I've planted this one on the stream bank, to see how it gets on there.

Yes, and it had better stay with me this time! I lost the last one. :-(((

Love that Spritz....

On my screen there are adverts for Kaffir Lily ... one looks remarkably like yours ... how odd !
2 Nov, 2010
The adverts recognise key words, I believe. I wish they'd all use the latin names though - especially when you get to 'geraniums' - they're all called 'Cranesbills'. How silly is that!!

Very frustrating ! : o ((

Yes, if you want a particular one! One advert that I'm looking at now doesn't give a name...hmmmm...

I have a darker one than this, whats the secret to get them to flower? have loads of them dotted about but only 1 in flower :-( lots of leaves but thats it, had them a few years now, grew them from seed.

I don't know, as I don't seem able to keep them more than a couple of years. However, I read that they prefer damp feet, so that's why it's on the stream bank - an experiment!

Another beauty Spritz, where's my list?
2 Nov, 2010
LOL....

love these

Such a delicate flower, B....going on the list here too! :)

Oh dear - I'm encouraging you all into spending more money!!
3 Nov, 2010
Just wait until I can finally plant up in our back garden....you will be inundated with questions..I've got a list as long as my arm and selecting will be quite a challenge. And B....spending money??? Oh yes! Oh yes! :)
3 Nov, 2010
I never mind answering questions, Whl....as long as I am 'able' to! LOL. That sounds like great fun, planning and planting. Lovely! :-)))))

What a lovely pink.

I knew it was, Carol, from when I had this in the garden a few years ago, so I was pleased to find it again. :-)
3 Nov, 2010
bought some from ebay today Spritz, called Fenland Daybreak and says they're hady. Have you heard of this variety?
3 Nov, 2010
Yes, I have that one. It's got lots of buds but not open yet. There will be a photo on my 'Garden' section, but it takes ages to get there, even via alphabetical order. Yes, they 'are' hardy, but mine simply don't like it in my garden! :-(((((
3 Nov, 2010
Well I hope to be showing you a pic of mine this time next year lol...
3 Nov, 2010
I 'do' hope it likes your garden, Bell!
3 Nov, 2010
a beauty...
5 Nov, 2010
Yes - they all see to be, and it's hard to choose a favourite colour!
5 Nov, 2010
Planted my new plants this morning, there was supposed to be 3 but I was lucky and got a small extra one as a bonus. Just need to be patient and wait for a result now!
5 Nov, 2010
Any buds on them, Bell?
6 Nov, 2010
going back to the advert thing I have a garden dating site for singles. Not sure I like that advert really.
6 Nov, 2010
I have just been writing a blog with the most annoying advert for sushi flashing on and off like a belisha beacon ... really distracting! I don't even like sushi....
6 Nov, 2010
Seaburngirl...I had that ad last night and I was surprised and wasn't pleased about the content.
6 Nov, 2010
Me too - but I haven't seen the dreadful beefburger one or google chrome for a while - have you?
6 Nov, 2010
I've had the beefburger...looks good enough to eat....and available in Liverpool...woo hoo! I've never had the google chrome one that I've noticed.
6 Nov, 2010
Not that one - I've still got that! The previous one with the rather bad language....I didn't appreciate that at all! :-((
6 Nov, 2010
Don;t think there were any buds Spritz but the leaves looked lovely and healthy and strong roots. I can recomment this ebayer - his service was excellent.
7 Nov, 2010
That's good to know. I don't often use eBay - I like to see the plants I'm buying!!!!! Some people on there are less than honest, then (like you) you find a good one. :-))
7 Nov, 2010
Very true Spritz, you get a lot of frogs and now and then a prince lol...
7 Nov, 2010
Nice one, Bell! :-)))
