I do too. I have several bananas plants with fruit now.
I just pushed one of my White Iholena bananas over a couple of days ago...it only had 6 hands of 8 bananas. 48 bananas isn't worth watering.

Is it the cost of the water per ratio of banana then Delonix?

Lindak:
It's more that we're on water restrictions...and have been for more than a year now. Our 7 year drought has really taken it's toll.

goodness me Delonix, Hope it rains there soon.

Lindak:
October was one of the wettest on record here in San Diego...and this past winter was an El Niño year...we had slightly more rain than normal. Although, it just wasn't enough. We need to receive twice or more of our normal rainfall to lift the water restrictions. It's highly unlikely it will happen this winter also...as it's a La Niña year now...and typically we receive a lot less than normal rainfall.

Couldn't they dig out an underground reservoir to help Delonix?

Lindak:
We've been needing many more reservoirs for the last 30 years. We always hear they're too expensive to build....however, they don't seem to realize the longer they wait the higher the expense. It's so crazy! There's a desalinization water plant which will go on line in a few years in northern San Diego County. This will relieve some of the water issues.

The earth is changing climate wise, and so must the human race change their ideas or survival in the future will be difficult in some areas of the world.

Lindak:
That's very true! We'll definitely have to adapt.
