Gorgeous Kathy, I have an Eleagnus but still quite small, must check it. You must be thrilled with yours.

I made the same surprising discovery last year at my parents house, getting my mums washing in from the garden. It took me about ten minutes to trace the scent to this plant - very discreet little flowers aren't they, but the scent was quite powerful and far carrying. Bring a small piece into the house. :-)

Ah, snap, see I was just discussing this, and Vincent said it would flower eventually and that the scent was great! See, how lovely is that? Brilliant..glad I got one. Does it grow very slowly Kathy?

Thanks everyone:-), yes really pleased with this such tiny flowers but the scent is wonderful, think I'll do that Muddywalters bring a bit inside, had this around 6 years and don't think its flowered before, bought another at the same time 'Gilt Edge' were this has yellow leaves with gold edge it has green leaves with yellow edge, no sign of flowers on that though, not too fast growing Karen think its around 6ft tall by 4ft spread in 6 years :-)

Scented flowers sounds so nice for this time of the year. It's strange that you hadn't noticed them other years...maybe this is their first flowering?
