Dew in a Clematis Seedhead

Dew in a Clematis Seedhead

Really, a frost that had melted in the morning sun, still strong enough to burn through our thick atmosphere. This seed is from clematis tangutica, much bigger and more dramatic heads than my little olgae clematis.

Thank you. I'll try some clem seed one day. I'll just put in the plant next year. This variety seems to perform very well for a clem here.

Love the seedheads of these Gt.....though don't do too well in my garden.....I think its maybe too enclosed, and they need more air.

Thanks. :-) I think they have a wild streak Janey, your probably right about wanting open area. We planted them to fill a chain link fence, and they have done very well that way.

Stunning picture Greenthumb; my C.tangutica seedheads look bedragled after the heavy rain we have had.

Thank you. Agreed they don't do so well after a drench. More like a wet cat after that.....lol. Good to hear that rain has come again though, wasn't it getting a bit dry for there with all that earlier heat?
