Then you can tell those more gullible that it's a cork tree! LOL... Ooops sorry, I started out to say that it's a great photo...love the afternoon light...I have two agaves that I'm transporting with the move...and hoping that they will survive the colder climate. I may get that greenhouse yet!

WOW! agaves.. That might be something that I might want to "toy" with. It is the plant that produces Tequila and is grown best in central Mexico, which would be zone 9-10.5..
I wonder how one would do here in zone 8 under an organic program? {ponders a new "next growing season" experiment} (chuckle)

Yes! good point, Sandra. I have mine in pots in my cousin's garage. She's been kind enough to take my babies until next spring. They will be in the cold..but dry!(It's raining again...but at least it's not snow!)

Don't these grow quickly, took mine out the greenhouse last spring had a right struggle to get it back in this autumn, had to cut the spiky ends off this summer as our dog's got a bad habit of sticking his nose in all the pots, thought he'd have his eye out, pretty lethal.
