wish they were under a soft white quilt instead of snow but i think they will be ok, the local GC had pansies badly affected last year but they all came back and were ok.

The snow acts as a blanket Yorks.....I'd be more worried about leaving the lovely little pot outdoors.....

Cant imagine anywhere without snow at present Yorkshire but wherever you are going take care! We've had a light dusting again, something and nothing, but they promise min. of -5 tonight. Our garden faces northwest so we've been getting the cold winds so everything frozen solid. If this is the only drawback to being away from the city, I can live with that! Roads in Bristol no problem, but we are lunching in Bath today, down by a river..so hope everything okay on the long slope down!
Any fish in your pond Clarice? Would be like watching "fishy" telly for Tilly if so..lol!

When we had the pond we used to make an ice hole with a saucepan full of hot water laid on the top then let the bottom of the saucepan melt through the ice to let in some air.

Thanks Yorkshire, yes there are fish in the pond, had fish for about 8-9yrs, Lindak i always put a ball on the pond in winter and downpipe in the pond for the fish to go in.
