How many recognise the stately yellow flower as a campanula? Seen here growing in a friends crevice bed in Edinburgh.

Just googling this plant and would you believe it brought me back here,I've just been potting on some young seedlings, just hope it looks as good as this when it flowers, love it :-)

I understood that it was a biennial, Simbad, but ours are in their second year now and not showing signs of flowering yet. It must be monocarpic so remember to collect seed.

Thanks for that,I thought it was a biennial too by what it said on the Chilterns website where I bought the seed, but yes I'll definitely remember to collect the seed when it does flower :-))

Bulbaholic just thought I'd let you know I have buds forming on 3 plants!!!!!, I do have lots of plants though so probably inevitable that a few would flower second year, can't wait :-)

Good. We have several plants that will (should) flower this year. Enjoy them, they are a loely campanula and, being a hairy leaf species, the slugs don't eat them.
