Lol Dorjac, don't call us, we'll call you:-) As to the join, it gets even worse...the wallpaper is stuck over lumpy anaglypta paper that's been there since time immemorial, couldn't be bothered to strip the chimney breast. That's why the join is so bad! This woman knows no shame:-) Janey, it was so nice of you to go looking for it., don't know how you could miss it..lost your specs again lol? Oh Dorjac, it's minimalist 'cos it's just been papered and painted. Normally it's full of rubbish. It used to be said "you could always tell a Bradley (maiden name) mantlepiece" full of clutter!;-)

We have anaglypta too Bornagain, stuck on back in mediaeval times. Not tried to paper over it so far. Just noticed that the a*******a in the hallway way is loose in places..oh bother. I bet 'rough and smooth' don't budge from that fireside, or is it a pretend one like our stone age one in our fireplace? Our fireplace is a none standard insert opening, so unable to have any whizzy designer 'looks like a real fire' complete with remote!!!!!!

Hi Dorjac \0/ it's a Bermuda Baxi or something like that, with a back boiler. It's getting a bit long in the tooth now, been thinking of one of those combi boilers as they're supposed to be a lot cheaper and more environmentally friendly to run. Apparently we can still keep the fire bit so Rosie and Meg will be happy:-) I rather like the idea of a remote control fire as I often get a little shock when pressing the little electronic button on the side. No-one else gets one lol. I don't know if I'll like my cosy wallpaper in the summer Dorjac, at least anaglypta is easy to paint over. Isn't it odd that it's impossible to remove, yet there is always some that just comes unstuck all by itself and is impossible to stick down properly, must be the layers of paint:-)
