The first time I walked past this it felt quite spooky as it was a very foggy day and the monk loomed out of the mist and there are ancient ruins in the park!

It does have quite a "presence"
A couple of times I've been walking along the path looking the other way and seen it out of the corner of my eye. It makes you look hard... just for a second !

It does look rather eerie...i wonder what it is supposed to represent? Or, is there a tale about this strange wooden
figure of this Monk? It does seem odd that it is just
standing there with no placard attached? Great pic though

There is the ruined remains of a small Franciscan Friary about 300 metres away so I guess that's the link .
I think it's a rather imaginative use of the stump of a dead tree.

Really unusual Aman....I think I would keep going to see if he had moved....look well if someone comes now and then a places him at different points in the park.....that would be scary...Lol!
