Thanks all!
I am looking forward to the flowers Delonix.

Meanie:
I've seen the green-leaf form: Aeschynanthus speciosus growing outside here, haven't seen this one though...it's probably ultra-tropical.
It's really a beautiful plant!

Thanks Delonix - it is native from Burma, down through Thailand and into Malaysia.

Meanie:
Then it should do well here outside. :>)

Delonix - if I didn't know better I'd say that you're gloating!!!!
Give it a go.

Meanie:
Yes, I gloating a bit! lol! :>)
But on a serious note: many plants from this region seem to do amazingly well outside in San Diego's climate.

Well look at that I had commented on it, how could I forget :-))

Simbad - Delonix seems to think that we should remember every comment we make too!!!
26 Jan, 2012
I do! lol! :>)
27 Jan, 2012
I can't!!! Struggle to remember what I had for tea some days!!!
27 Jan, 2012
I can't either, even call the kids by the wrong names sometimes!!!! , me and OH went away for the weekend a few weeks ago when it came to pay he forgot his card pin, so I went to pay I'd forgot mine too!!! how embarassing, I'd had that pin years still can't remember it had to send for a new one, luckily we did eventually find a card we could remember :-)

Meanie; Simbad:
Wow! That's very disconcerting!
Meanie, I know you're younger than I am...and I remember that from a Plumeria tree (posted) comment two years ago. Maybe my memory is good because our blood is thinner here in San Diego. The all year warm weather helps our memories stay strong! lol! :>)

Always helps to have cash Simbad! I'm surprised that the police weren't called..........
Delonix - I exaggerate a little! But I do have a lot spinning around in my head with work, house move going wrong etc......
27 Jan, 2012
That must be it Delonix brain freeze,or too much wine, lol.
Worth a try Meanie :-))
Oh dear sorry to hear the house move isn't going smoothly,do they ever, remember when we sold ours the buyers kept asking for money off for stupid things, a nightmare, got to the point when we said we're not giving it away!!!!!!
27 Jan, 2012
My sellers seller has hit a problem so not much to do......
My buyer is a landlord and can do the deal as and when - my accountant reckons I should sell and sit on the money for a couple of years but I'm not so sure.
27 Jan, 2012
Meanie:
The best of luck with your move! It's a very stressful thing.
I know I'll move again (hopefully not anytime soon)...will not be looking forward to it, though. I hate moving!!!
28 Jan, 2012
At least we didn't get in a long chain, our buyers were renting their house, as they'd been trying to sell it for ages with no luck, and we were selling ours to move into rented while we built ours, still very stressful trying to find somewhere to rent that wasn't too expensive, as we needed every penny for the build, but in a decent area as our children were only small at the time, did it in the end,had no end of problems with the local planners when building too,we won't be moving again in a hurry either, saying that our youngest is about to leave the nest to set up home with her boyfriend and when the other daughter goes it'll be far too big.

" saying that our youngest is about to leave the nest to set up home with her boyfriend and when the other daughter goes it'll be far too big."
Dream on Simbad! They be back regularly for food, washing etc!!!!!!!
28 Jan, 2012
Thats just what Rob (OH) said, lol, said she'll have you round to clean once a week and do the garden and washing, don't think so :-)
28 Jan, 2012
We said the same when Matthew left! We ended up feeding him and his two mates when they burnt the Christmas dinner!!!
28 Jan, 2012
Lol :-)),I'll miss the gangs of girls coming round on a Saturday night to get ready before going out, even though last time they spilled booze all over the carpet, I wondered for ages what the strange brown marks were on the carpet every time they came round, till I realised it was were they'd all been sat and it was fake tan!!!!!! that flippin stuff I won't miss, all over the bed sheets and clothes :-))
30 Jan, 2012
Don't have that problem with boys!
Worst part of lads is when they get their driving license! Every 5mins "Do you think he's ok?"!!!!
Eventually he did succeed in rolling his car!
30 Jan, 2012
Oh dear that would be a worry Meanie, boys and cars very scary mix, mind you our youngest did put her car in a ditch not long after passing her test.
30 Jan, 2012
I didn't like to say too much at the time, but I remember my first year on the roads! Scary to look back...........
30 Jan, 2012
Know what you mean, Rob had a terrible accident when he was a teenager, died on the operating table and still has the scars, he got a speeding ticket just before Christmas, for doing 34mph in a 30 limit, not in his Porsche though, in Suzannes Saxo !!!!!,so the fine came to her, of course you can imagine the comments, 'to speedy' on his christmas card 'to speedy's wife' on mine, so he can't say much to her now!!!!, rather than have the points he's going on a speed awareness day next week, he'll never live it down, lol.

Thankfully, I am now points free!
