He is a little comical isn't he!

LOL, how cute! He's got a funny dice-like face, and look at the scanty hair on his head & long hind legs with pollens! Love this, just hilarious! Nice one, Meanie :)

Yes, that is a great photo....we never really get to see what they truly look like until we take a snap of them do we? It's very funny, like something off a Disney animation! love it!

Gosh, do you Mark? Can you put a pic on please...I want to see if it's true...having said that, I am totally a Keanu fan, so unless you look like him...probably not worth the effort! btw, I look like Pamela Anderson!

Wow what an amazing close up Meanie , I don't know what kind of camera you have but that is superb ... :o))

16 Dec, 2010

Thanks to you all for your comments!
I'd forgotten about this photo for some reason..... he/she just seemed more interested in "filling it's boots" with the pollen than in the camera!
Amy - it's just a Nikon D40. It has been a great intro into DSLR's though.
Karen and Mark - it's Michelle Pfeiffer, Hermione Norris and Ruta Gedmintas for me! Thankfully Sue is very into Jonny Depp, which is cool by me as I love his films (especially the Tim Burton ones).

Hmmmm.....I think for me it would be Christian Bale. Of course in Georgia a girl's thankful if she can find a man with all his teeth and no prison record.

16 Dec, 2010

Meanie, you definitely have a 'type' there!

Lauram, that sounds a desperate place to live ;) Bale is a bit of a Tom Cruise type isn't he?

16 Dec, 2010

LOL! Blimey Lauram, my friend's son lived near Atlanta and his neighbour was Paul Newman. Guess I couldn't swear to his teeth at his age but the prison record would be a shock! Such a shame he's not around any more...sigh..still Robert Redford's still going strong - but too far away..darn it!

Meanie:

What an interesting looking fly. What kind of fly is it? Hopefully, not a fruit fly!

17 Dec, 2010

Delonix - we call them hoverflies.

17 Dec, 2010

Well, there's a bit of exaggeration in my statement, Karensusan, but not much, not much. It's slim pickings here, man-wise.

17 Dec, 2010

Lol you sure he s not excaped from toy story great shot.

17 Dec, 2010

Meanie:

Thanks! It almost looks like a little bee we have here.

18 Dec, 2010

6d and Homebird - that's why I think that he is kinda cute looking!
We watched Alice in Wonderland a couple of weeks ago and Sue said "Johnny Depp looks just like you"!

18 Dec, 2010

I need a better camera so I can get pics like this one.

19 Dec, 2010

Lauram - pop into a local camera dealer and ask about secondhand cameras. I bought this used, with a few extras including telephoto lens, cheaper than a new one. It's a bit down on mega pixels maybe, but 6 megapixel equates to 11" x 14" print size. The important thing though is the amount of these mp's that are run through the processor when it's metering, which tend to be a lot higher as a percentage on DSLR's as opposed to point and shoot with higher mp's.
The D40 is a good camera to get a feel for it with, and now most of my photos are taken in the manual mode.

A stunning picture Meanie; a merry Christmas to you.

19 Dec, 2010

Thank you Rbt, and to you too!

Great shot Keith, when I looked at this I thought , why would he be keeping flies, then re read and realised you said clearing out a few FILES, LOL.
