-18 C??? -35 C???? I feel like such a whiner for complaining about our 25 F temps. I'll take Georgia's 90 F+ temps (every day from June till September, this year, never left the 90s except at night), thank you very much.

I think I'll move to Georgia.....:( I could cope with this cold if we had a nice summer to contrast with it!...feeling very sorry for myself sneezing and coughing! :( Soon it will be spring...soon it will be spring....(repeat often)

well, at the end of the summer we're all a little tired of the heat, especially since we tend to have droughts too, but I can handle the heat much better than the cold! The shade trees help a good deal in the summer.

My goodness! That is sooo COLD!!!

And I was freezing and complaining about our cold high temp of 62ºF/17ºC today...I guess I shouldn't complain too much.

Ha ha Delonix, we are flying to Tenerife in a week or so, specifically to find somewhere as warm as 62-70 degrees!! That's like an average summers day for us!

Delonix, you people over there have the BEST year-round temperatures, but I hope you weren't affected by CA's awful weather last week. I can't imagine my car being swallowed up by 4 feet of mud or my house washing away in a mudslide. I suppose every region has its own weather nightmares - here it's tornados (when you hear that tornado siren going, you'd better take cover!), drought and extreme heat.

I've always thought the coldest days are like desert days, clear and crisp. Fact is the sun is only going to peak up to the right and then go right back below the skyline. Those temps have been our highs and lows for nearly two weeks. Now it has finally let up, though not as warm as the day in this pic.

I couldn't imagine that balmy coastal heat in CA, nor the dense heat of humid GA. The temperance is tempting. I do hope your area is out of harms way Delonix.

Sounds like it will be a great trip to the Canary Islands.

Todays it was very nice, sunny and 68ºF/20ºC where I live...tomorrow will be the same...then more rain.

Just a little bit of flooding in my laundry room downstairs and soaked carpet in my dinning room from under the French Doors...however, I fared very well compared to many. I have neighbors who had pretty bad water damage from the bad flooding last week.
