Don't they typically bloom in winter? The Camellias here have been blooming since the middle of November.

I hope the buds survive cause I love camellia flowers. Funny here in southern california we have to worry about winter warm spells that might ruin the flowers, to much heat and sun and the flowers either fall or burn!!!

Over here they are usually one our 1st Spring Blooms......

Yes, Camellia needs to be planted on the north side of a building or house...as they don't like hot weather when blooming. Also, you probably know what a strong, hot Santa Ana can do to the flowers if the temps get up to about 90ºF/32ºC. in winter...it's all over for the flowers.

Wow, so many buds. Maybe they'll stay safe if the temperatures stay cool. What colour are the flowers on this one Maureen. I need to get a couple of Camelias but not sure which variety.

This one is "inspiration" which is a deep pink.....
