i found bluebells coming up today!!!! no custard with those tho!!

great yorkshire, iv been round and noticed a few bulbs this moring to, cant remember what they are though lol, hoping my snowdrops come up, were new last year in the green so think they will :o)

its nice to hear the bulbs are coming up,bluebells sound early Sticki, good for you,went in the garden to take photo only Alex, going to try the supermarket today,!!!!

the bluebells were in the wood behind me ~ none in my garden yet ~ they are under trees but most likely get more sun than my garden does.
maybe a walk to the GC today?? i will report back on any bargains, its a bit cold here but they have nice hot chocolate so that should be ok.
only thing is if i walk i cant carry much back!!

Nice to see the bulbs poking through, like Sanbaz have forgotten what some of them are , but like surprises ! I have noticed some which I think could be snowdrops peeping through;0)

I did my walk but didnt have much time between baking that plum [that didnt have any plums in] cake and getting back for builder but i made it to the GC, got a pot of kestrel potatoes ~ lovely flavour ~ well the supermarket ones are! also got a dahlia tuber, lily and with those came 8 free gladioli bulbs. sadly no time for a cup of tea!! have to go back another day. only the christmas decorations were on offer! nice place tho ~ i like it cos its friendly.

Oh no not plum cake again, I made far to many of them,at least your walk was not wasted, sounds like you got some nice bits, let us know what your bulbs are that are peepingthrough PP

the recipe was plum cake but i put in 4 gold fruits and some white chocolate ~ apricot, pears, mango and peel ~ should have added ginger and golden sultanas! also added maple syrup and honey!

all this for the builders, very extravagant of you Sticki, on the other hand it sounds delicious.

yes alex there is some left ~ only the plasterer in today! i make it for builders cos there are only 2 of us in the house and we dont eat so much cake ~ its a good excuse to make it ~ i like baking!

Wish I could just fly over for some cake and coffee. I usually bake something every week as the kids love it. Problem is I love it too.....

pity we cant get GoY to deliver the cakes out the same as the messages come out!!
i know exactly what you mean alex, but i dont have children at home any more so its even worse!
