Got this from Wilkinsons and spent a miserable February day insulating it for some new perennials that I've just potted up.

Thanks Tetrarch, it's great. I don't really want to put a real green house in the middle of the back garden or in the 'courtyard' area, so this is brilliant and it can be put away in the summer until next year.

I have one of these as well....it needs filling though...you have made a great start with all your plantings in pots. What have you planted up, Mandy? (if you've time to say)

Hi Whistonlass, I have poenies, dahlia tubers, hosta and astilbies as well as some seedlings (schizanthus, cosmos, oriental poppies, sweetpea & nastursium) in the mini greenhouse at the moment. I have loads of other seedlings on the windowsills in the spare bedrooms and conservatory (morning glory, tomatoes, cleome, rudbeckia, aster, dianthus, coleus & nicotiana). Needless to say I need a greenhouse. My husband is about to take down the old shed and build me a shed/greenhouse combination in it's place, but I will probably keep the mini greenhouse and use it as a coldframe.

I wondered if it was warm enough to put seedlings into my mini-growhouse but it seems to be working for you so I won't be so cautious now and will get them started....if I don't do it now they will be getting a very late start!
Good luck with the new greenhouse, Mandy.

Don't say late start! My poor seedlings won't even get sown till april :'(
+ so many nice flowers that you are sowing Mandym :) I hope you get the greenhouse soon so you can clear some windowsills!

Hope you meet with lots of success with your seeds when you get them planted, Jenny. If April isn't too late then I won't get too panicky about my slow start! :)

*phew* you got me worried then! I hope both of your seeds and seedlings do well :)

These mini greenhouses re brill arn't they Mandy, I,ve got 1 like yours from Wilkinsons, and did you know they do a Fleece cover for them for the winter months I bought one the other week. I also have 2 other greenhouses from Focus which I bought a couple of years ago and they are quite a bit wider than Wilkinsons, but now I cant get replacement covers for them as they've stopped doing them now. What a waste of money!!!!
