Amy they get larger by the day, San they will go in the jungle in April if the weather is suitable.

Wow! It looks terrific! I've never seen this plant grow well indoors. Of course, here in San Diego they grow all year outdoors...however, indoors they are subjected to so many bugs.

Thanks Delonix, no bugs so far......just waiting for the good weather so it can go outside.

Do you ever eat the young leaves on your Taro plant (Colocasia escalenta)? The roots are made into a very popular food where I'm from (Hawai'i), which is called poi.

Yes, the young leaves taste like spinach, when cooked. The large leaves don't taste so good...usually, very stringy.
