Me too:-) don't know where mine came from either think they may have hitched a ride in a pot from our old house, white ones too, put them in the wood they can go as wild as they want, very pretty:-)

They are very pretty but I have them growing where I'd rather they didn't too;0)

How strange Carole everybody has them popping up all over the place , they look pretty now when the flowers are on but later on they are almost smothering and getting invasive ........

So girls you think they would do well in my woodland, must get some, was tempted yesterday at the GC. Very nice Amy. Do like like bare soil or can they cope with a bit of grass.

They will grow anywhere Dawn , on soil /gravel / between the paving slabs they're not fussy ... don't buy any I will send you some as soon as they have died down x

Thanks Amy, you are so kind, I'll look after them x

makes me miss the violet corner in my old garden...they smell sweet, are a beautiful colour...and will spread like a mat...especially the var. I have called "freckles" they produce tons of seed. When the flowers have died their little heart shaped leaves make a nice green mat of a ground cover!

The Freckles is lovely Lori , it's a pity mine don't have long enough stalks to pick a bunch , can you still get some or would you like seed off these when they have some ?

so nice of you to offer, Amy. I have a very helpful cousin who has given my "must have's" a home over the past winter. I saved a clump of Freckles and the solid blue violets too...I'm hoping they came thro the winter ok...Our snow is melting verrrry slowly...but soon I'll have a look at the terrain and will be able to plant..(if they didn't survive I may just take you up on it!...thanks!)
