Me neither!
No it's not sad, I keep looking at mine.
This is a quick overview as far as seed viability is concerned.....

Lol glad its not just me then, think the reason for cutting the flowers off the first year is to make the plant more vigorous.
Yes thanks Meanie, never had any success growing these from seed, but lovely Amy sent me these as small seedlings.

Thats wonderful Kathy , I'm as excited as you when my seeds have 'Babies ' lol .. another thing that I think is a miracle is that they all flower at exactly the same time , Janeys mine and yours! I'm boasting two flower heads on one this morning :o) I'm only telling you what I read in a book about not letting them flower in the first year you might find it dosn't make much difference . enjoy your walks down to the wood :o))

I forgot to tell you that I planted out the baby plant today that I grew with the seed from the Iris ( Canadian Border Patrol ) that you sent me last year it's a good plant approx 9" tall :o))

How exciting. Our flowers bring us so much pleasure. How big are the flowers on these. :)

Yes it is strange Amy that no matter where we are they flower at the same time, saw Janeys white one, beautiful, hope it doesn't make a difference would hate to loose them but just couldn't resist letting a couple flower, lol still can't stop myself going to look at them, so lovely.
I've been planting out a few daylily seedlings had a couple self seed!!! never had that before, must have been that cold winter a couple of years before we see a flower though.

It's delightful! So lovely that it's flowering already. Will show you mine when it does which gets an almost daily visit, and it's not even flowering yet;-) I got it last year from my hubby and after it flowered I didn't really look after it, so after the hard December we had, I thought it would have just died. But it sprang back to life this year,
Amy did so well to grow them from seed. I heard it's pretty hard.

Look forward to seeing yours 1poodle11 :-), yes I didn't think these'd survive winter as they weren't that large last autumn, so pleased they did, after all the plants and shrubs I lost overwinter.
Yes clever Amy I've tried several times to grow these from seed with no success.

I just checked it earlier on. The leaves are looking ever so healthy, although the lower ones keep breaking off under their own weight. Unfortunately, no bud in sight yet. Will have to keep looking at picture of your one meantime;-)

You are so kind , I'm afraid they don't always survive their first winter when they are tiny in the greenhouse , strange that they should all come through such a harsh winter outside this year ~~ I hope you have a flower of your own to admire soon 1poodle 11 :o)
